VitiVision supports training in vine pruning. Vine pruning is an extremely demanding and critical task in viticulture, where mistakes can have a long-term negative impact on the health and yield potential of the vines. Since hands-on training is time- and cost-intensive and there is a shortage of qualified professionals, VitiVision provides a flexible, digital training solution.

With VitiVision, trainees and professionals can practice vine pruning in a realistic virtual environment and receive immediate feedback on their cuts through AI-powered analyses. Scientifically proven pruning methods and an interactive AI tutor enable hands-on, location-independent learning and bridge the gap between traditional training and modern digitalization.

As an EIP-Agri-funded project with the working title 'KI-Trainer', VitiVision will be carried out in Hessen from June 2026 to June 2029 with winemakers from the Rheingau, the Bergstraße, and neighboring regions, as well as viniculture schools in Germany, Austria, and South Tyrol, under the technical leadership of Geisenheim University (HGU) and the overall management of 2farm as 'OG KI-Trainer'.
